Today is the day we celebrate the resurrection of our Savior. If it not for His rising from the dead we would have no hope for salvation or eternal life with Him. So, on Easter we try to put our focus on Christ and His work for us on the cross.
We do celebrate a little bit with the kids by coloring eggs:
Small Easter baskets. Nothing huge this year – the kids needed towels so it seemed like a great time to get them some 🙂 That’s what happens when their mom is a tightwad and very practical! Also, their baskets are not basekts at all but plastic buckets with lids that I decorated with stickers. And of course they are reusable!
One thing I love about Easter Sunday is getting extra dressed up for church. With a last minute trip to the store the kids were ready for church and if I do say so myself they are a pretty good looking crew!!
Oh yes, they are adorable!! (By this shot they were all tired of smiling – Alyssa shows it the most – cracks me up)
1 Corinthians 15:20-26:
“But in fact Christ has been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. For as by a man came death, by a man has come also the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive. But each in his own order: Christ the firstfruits, then at His coming those who belong to Christ. Then comes the end, when He delivers the kingdom to God the Father after destroying every rule and every authority and power. For He must reign until He has put all His enemies under His feet. The last enemy to be destroyed is death.”
I pray that you too had a blessed Easter and can say with me, “He is Risen! He is Risen Indeed!!”
